Placed in the Ottawa Fiddle Competition

IMG_6341This past weekend I had a good time competing at the Ottawa Fiddle and Step Dance Competition. There was a lot of great talent from all over Ontario. This was the first time I got to compete in the 13-18 age category.

I was honored to have made it to the finals on Sunday night. Being the only 13-years old, I was the youngest competitor in the finals. My competition songs were Kelli Trottier’s waltz Breilyn and two Calvin Vollrath tunes, Masters March West and Carrot River Stomp. In the end, I placed fifth after the Andrew and Diana Dawydchak, Emma March, and Michaela Mullan.

It was a great weekend and a lot of fun. I look forward entering further competitions this summer.
