This past weekend, I had the pleasure of playing at the Young Awards Gala, a local arts ceremony featuring budding talent and celebrating the efforts of our community arts volunteers.
I played with the very talented Terry Tufts who is an incredible guitarist and singer (photo with Terry). He accompanied me performing two songs – Willow Springs and Cajun Fiddle.
I also played as a member of the YA Band, a band composed of students from Almonte District High School. We performed classic rock tunes with a full assortment of instruments: drums, guitar, vocal, bass, cello, violin, mandolin, trombone, and trumpet. I got a chance to play both my violin and my mandolin (photo beside my friend Aaron Rudyk on cello). I really enjoyed the whole experience of performing at such a posh awards ceremony.
