Here are some photos of my performance at the Country Music Heart Jam yesterday in Carleton Place -a benefit concert for the Ottawa Heart Institute. The show included some great Valley entertainers: Howard Hayes, Harry Adrian, Amanda Jordan, Ed Bowes, Gord Barnes, Kathleen Stround and many others.
The MC was Charlie Kitts and the house band for the event included Andy Bowes, Brad Scott, Matt Brydges, Mike Belajac and the great fiddler Wade Foster. I had a real fun time playing on stage with this great group of musicians backing me up.
There was a fantastic crowd of more than 400 and some got up dancing to my playing Pat’s Country and Tennessee Waltz. Calvin Vollrath would have also loved to see those on the dance floor to his lively tune – one of my personal favourites – Willow Spring.
