Last week was great as I performed as a member of three different acts, in three different venues, in three nights. On Wednesday, I was part of a quartet that was asked to perform at a Canterbury High School Koffee Haus. My friends and I were picked when we were recognized as the best quartet in our grade 9 class.
On Thursday night the Canterbury High School intermediate strings ensemble performed at Kiwanis Music Festival in Ottawa. This was a wonderful experience. We were formally judged, and received a Kiwanis gold medal and mark of 93%.
And then on Friday I had a lot of fun playing with my good friend Marley Mullan at the Ottawa Traditional Fiddling and Folk Art Society (photo is of jam session with Ron Carron, me and Marley). Below is a series of photos showing Marley’s footwork, step-dancing to a set of traditional jigs.
